Managing Your Trading Time
As traders we are always working as long as the market is open. This can lead to over-working and mental fatigue. When periods of uncertainty hit we need to recognize they are here and use those periods of inactivity to take a day or 2 off here and there, plan for mini-vacations, step aside just to recharge ourselves. When much needed slow periods in the market come traders have a tendency to force trades instead of recognizing what the market is doing and relaxing and waiting for better times. These traders end up churning their accounts and building losses, losses that then end up putting them into a position to “make back” when good times return and this in turn leads to even more mistakes, leading to added stress and fatigue. Take advantage of the slow periods and view them as a blessing.
